Qualifications - BM. BS University of Nottingham 1996, Member of Royal College of Paediatrics (UK) 1999, Fellow of Royal College of Emergency Medicine (UK) 2009 with Sub-specialty interest in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, and Fellow of Australasian College of Emergency Medicine 2012.

Simon trained in the UK at the University of Nottingham, was an Emergency medicine trainee in the Southwest of England and an ED Consultant in the UK for three years before moving to Australia six years ago. He has a keen in interest in medical education and simulation. He is the Director of Emergency Training at Wollongong and supervises 20 EM trainees. He lectures at the University of Wollongong Medical School in addition to international medical conferences. He directs Advanced Life Support and Advanced Paediatric Life Support courses. He loves Wollongong for its’ beauty and lifestyle. He is ranked 13th in the Illawarra in Men’s squash and coaches his son’s soccer team. Unfortunately, he is too old and scared to learn to surf.
